Video Deck Tech: Bo1 Mardu Enchantments

DBoe gets mystical in best of one. This deck is a doozy.

With Oko dominating the Standard format, it's honestly always fun to try and dunk on those lists with permanents that is very difficult for them to deal with. Thus, Mardu Enchantments is actually in a pretty good place in the format to do something. In fact, I've got about an 80% win rate with this deck in Best Of 1; its a fun and exciting deck that catches our opponents off guard.

I encourage you to check out the video deck tech for a break down on the list. I figured for our write up today, we could talk about what we could potentially do to make this a best of 3 list.

First change for Best of 3, I think we should commit to 4x Revenge of Ravens main. I would then run 4x Ill-Gotten Inheritance in the sideboard to swap out against control. I would also run 3 to 4 Duress in the sideboard as well. We want to be able to deal with our opponent's early game counter spells or fast planeswalkers. I would also run a 2x Angrath's Rampage in the sideboard as well. The flexibility of the card is really good for us, plus it is a relatively early card for us to cast to take care of artifacts or planeswalkers. I'd also consider something like Murderous Rider for more planeswalker removal. An Ugin can also be a great finisher for us as well. Fast aggro can be a problem at times, so I think running Legion's End and a couple Deafening Clarion is not a bad idea. That said, there are a couple of different sideboard builds we could do if we were to be in different metas.

General Meta:

3 Duress

3 Ill-Gotten Inheritance

2 Ugin, the Ineffable

2 Angrath's Rampage

2 Murderous Rider

1 Legion's End

2 Deafening Clarion

Control Heavy meta:

3 Duress

4 Ill-Gotten Inheritance

1 Ugin, the Ineffable

2 Noxious Grasp

2 The Elderspell

3 Legion Warboss

Creature Heavy meta:

2 Duress

3 Deafening Clarion

1 Ugin, the Ineffable

4 Noxious Grasp

2 Lava Coil

2 Legion's End

1 Fry

Other cards of consideration are Grafdigger's Cage and Leyline of the Void for going up against graveyard metas. Sorcerous Spyglass could be another great option for going up against planeswalker decks or other decks with activated abilities as well.

These are just suggestions, but I think they should warrant consideration for sure if you are trying to build this into a best of 3 list.

How'd I do? What would you change about the main list? What would you build into your sideboard? Let us know in the comments down below!
